Every child and every grown up wants to be happy. At first it is easy. A present you have wanted makes you happy. A film or a show, taking part in a sport, pleases you for a while. What can make you happy for a lifetime?

Betty and I know some of the answers as we look back on 48 years of happiness together. Experiences of others, you may read in books like the Bible, show you routes to happiness and unhappiness. Perhaps it is easier to learn from those you trust of your own age. That is why I am asking you to help us to set this treasure hunt and try it out together.

The format I have set up allows you to enter an idea and explain it if you need to. Then other family members can add their comments and marks out of 5. The highest scoring entry each quarter will win a small prize but the real winner will be the one who applies these ideas in life.
